BREATHING TECHNIQUES
Scientists have discovered that the chemical basis of energy production in the body is a chemical called Adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Oxygen is critical for ATP production.
Although breathing is a natural process, we can develop wrong habits over time. Some of these are taking short breaths, leaning the body forward, closing the shoulders, arms and rib cage, and holding our breath in stressful situations.
We need to breathe in a healthy way in order to clean the blood and remove toxic substances (carbon dioxide) from the body. The expansion and contraction of our lungs during breathing causes a gentle massage of the abdomen. Our digestive organs, liver, kidneys, etc. benefit positively from this massage. Thanks to the narrowing and widening of our rib cage, blockages in our coronary vessels are prevented, and it helps us to get rid of ailments such as high blood pressure, insomnia, headaches, nervousness and restlessness caused by cholesterol and stress.
