12-17 Age Young Theater Education
The aim of Young Theater education is to develop creative thinking skills of young people to cope with the problems they encounter during adolescence, as well as to instill a taste of art in the individuals of the future. Our education will improve young people’s ability to speak, create and express themselves individually, and will also provide them with a critical perspective on art, society, and media in particular theatre. Young people who gain self-confidence will be able to express themselves more easily in school, family and social environments with the knowledge and skills they have gained. In addition, with the creative perception process and pleasure they have gained, they will be individuals who are intertwined with art in the future and benefit from the creative feature of art in all areas of life.
Our training starts with intense creative drama activities and focuses on developing acquaintance and sensory exercises, harmony and concentration, motivation exercises, improvisation, rhythm and communication skills in the first weeks. In the following weeks, theatrical works are blended with creative drama exercises. These consist of character analysis, text reading, interpretation and writing, improvisations, physical and internal action exercises, and emotional exercises. At the end of these studies, stage works are started with the theatrical text chosen in accordance with the dynamics of the group. At the end of the term, theatrical work is performed on the stage determined by the institution.
Training Hours: It continues in accordance with the academic calendar, for 2 hours.
